MARION'S MOVEMENT TO YOGA AND MEDITATION STARTED IN HER TWENTIES WHEN SHE BEGAN EXPERIENCING

THE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

THAT OFTEN

ACCOMPANIES A WILDLY CREATIVE MIND......

 

The same curious and questioning nature that inspires her creative has lead to an on-going course of study and commitment to understanding the neuroscience behind these conditions. This adventure has lead to an interest in  “bio-hacking” - fine-tuning the mind with nutrition and lifestyle changes to support good physical and mental health.

Marion’s movement with yoga has been truly transformative and has supported her in becoming a  physically and mentally stronger person as well as a more accomplished creative. Having practiced for years, in 2019, she took a break after directing a doc short to do her Yoga Teacher Training and started teaching corporate yoga soon after.  What started as a personal plight to just feel better has expanded into a desire to help others achieve balance and open-up dialogues around mental health and general mind/body wellbeing.

 

Marion teaches ‘functional yoga’ which she personally uses as a tool whilst in production to manage stress and energy levels. She sees it as a non-negotiable in integrating work and life and especially useful for laptop workers where back and neck issues are a big problem as well as natural stressors of modern living. She teaches a combination of Hatha/Vinyasa and brings a sense of light, wisdom, wit and fun to her classes.

 

Classes are designed to support students in not only relaxing and releasing but also experiencing a sense of discovery and adventure. She balances movement and meditation to allow students to explore their own minds and bodies and find out what works for them. She sees ‘play’ as an over-overlooked value in the world of yoga and a sense of fun, underpins everything she brings to the mat.

 

MARION IS A MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE AND ACTIVELY WORKS TO OPENLY

ENGAGE IN  ISSUES WE STRUGGLE TO ADDRESS. HER MAIN GOAL IN HER WORK AS A CREATIVE AND YOGA INSTRUCTOR IS TO CHALLENGE PERSPECTIVES

AND SIMPLY HELP PEOPLE BE.
