SAOIRSE

Dublin is a city in the midst of a property development boom but with that traditional ways of life in the city are disappearing. Saorise takes a look at inter-generational horse culture and what it means to the men of Dublin's inner city. The already marginalised

culture is in decline and likely won't exist in the near future.

PEARL EARRING

Inner Island's AW18 collection is a modern interpretation of the traditional pearl. She approached me to deliver something new and contemporary to show off this delicate jewel to it's best potential. Taking the pearl as a starting point I decided to return to the old masters specifically Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring". Expanding upon this I researched Dutch and Flemish still life painting of the same era to provide creative direction for the art direction. Irish linens and local potters were used with fruits sourced from artisanal grocers in Dublin.

The shoot was featured on a double page spread in Ireland's national newspaper "The Sunday Business Post".

COVID 19 UN WOMEN RESPONSE FUND

AND THE PEOPLE

nspired by Kitty O’Meara’s poem that starts, “And the people stayed home”, this fim was ideated and created in collaboration with Julia Ngeow, a complete stranger until the pandemic crossed our paths out of lockdown. Having been touched by the words, we reached out to the author on the same day, with the same idea from New York and Dublin and she introduced us to collaborate on this short film.

We managed a team between New York, Dublin, London, Newcastle (UK) and Melbourne to collaborate (virtually, of course) to inspire solidarity during the age of isolation. The film bringing together people from over 25 countries in 25 languages premiered on Dazed Digital and was picked up by the United Nations to support their Covid 19 Women's Response Fund campaign

LITTLE BOOTS

Little Boots "Burn EP'" found the artist diving into  darker dance-floor arrangements. The sound has evolved with inspiration drawn from personal experience. Little Boots chose to work with female producers on each of the four tracks and approached me to deliver four music videos under an umbrella neon theme. Funded by Apple content, four music

videos were shot across two days.

THANDII

Under the dramatic skies of Margate that inspired Turner’s epic landscapes, the story follows a tormented man as he unravels across the screen. The video explores the internal struggle of a man struggling with his true identity and the beatnik "Cameo" role he's created for his own life. Shooting in infrared was key in representing alienation any sense of self.

FOOTWEAR LAUNCH

JOSEPH

I directed this series for the launch of london fashion brand Joseph's footwear line. The collection was inspired by officewear and they wanted something abstract. I recorded generic office sounds to provide an audio backdrop to visuals that explore the

interplay between hemline and shoe.

4 of a series of 6 diigal campaign stings

I worked with breakout artist Mononoke and Emma Dudlyke as DOP to challenge the norms of video combining live action with cinemagraphs tying a series of songs from the EP together through similar intros and surreal interior scenes of a wonderland house.
